I'm a Pianist with experience accompanying choirs, churches, students in competitions and concerts, and recordings for schools, plus my own concerts and presentations. I'm offering Private Lessons to a limited amount of students. Some morning and afternoon slots for kids and ladies are available.

About

Mari was born in Kumamoto, Japan. At the early age of five years old, she developed a passion for the piano, and has been playing ever since.  She studied under Ms. Hiroko Tateishi, who motivated her to further her studies at the Paris Ecole Normoal Conservatory in France.  She moved to France in 1992, and studied under the influence of Masters Andre Gorog and Pascal Levinsky. After her graduation in 1996, Mari returned to Japan, where she gave several performances and started teaching piano.

Mari worked for the Yamaha academy of Music in Kumamoto, and was teaching about 43 private students per week.  In 2003, Mari moved to California where she continued teaching private classes, and started performing as well.

Mari performed with a voluntary charity choir, which performed mainly on special occasions for charity purposes. She was one of the Choral Cosmos accompanists, a Japanese Choral group in the San Jose, California area. Mari also accompanied several singers and musicians at recitals and concerts. She also became the pianist at the St. Cyprian Church in Mountain View, CA.

In 2006, Mari became one of the principals of “Sopianos”, a greatly recognized ensemble of professional and semi-professional musicians in the San Jose bay area, where Mari accompanied singers and performed with renowned pianist Hiroko Mizuno, performing individually and with two pianos. Furthermore, Mari was chosen to accompany a professional Chinese Soprano for a concert in Berkeley, CA.

In 2008, Mari moved to El Paso, TX where she had been invited to accompany several area High School Choirs, including Coronado, Riverside, Hanks, Jefferson, Bel Air, Del Valle, and several middle schools. Also, Mari accompanied an average of 80 students for the solo performances of High Schools and middle schools, for their individual UIL competitions. She continued teaching private lessons and had 2 recitals per year with her students. Mari was also chosen to perform with the Ysleta Independent School District all-district choir for their 2014 season concert. Mari accompanied several churches as well.

In 2019, Mari moved to the Phoenix, AZ. area with her family, and started assisting at St. Stephen Catholic Church in Chandler, AZ.
